Brandi was a member of the 2023 Johnson C. Smith University team. During the competition, she landed a Corporate Communications Internship in Minneapolis with Thrivent.
Onahi was a member of the 2024 Philander Smith University team. While in Austin, she connected with the Dell Technologies team and landed a Software Engineering Internship for summer 2024.
D’Zyre was a member of the Howard University team for the 2020 HBCU Battle of the Brains. After graduating, she landed a role at KPMG as an Advisory Associate. From there, KPMG became an Angel Sponsor of the HBCU Battle of the Brains and the Title Sponsor of our sister program, the HSI Battle of the Brains.
Makaela was a member of the 2024 North Carolina Central University team. She received an summer 2024 internship offer with our Champion Sponsor, Thrivent.
Christian was a member of the 2024 Virginia State University University team. He received an summer 2024 internship offer with our Champion Sponsor, Thrivent.
Jessica was a member of the 2022 Prairie View A&M University team. PVAMU was one of the top seven schools from that year’s competition and had the opportunity to pitch their solution to our judges.
Due to her team’s success, Jessica became a Software Engineer at Dell Technologies. She is a regular volunteer with our program and the HSI Battle of the Brains.
Kaleb was a member of the 2023 Xavier University of Louisiana team and the captain of the 2024 team. He received an summer 2024 internship offer with Thrivent.
Zyon was a member of 2023 North Carolina Central University team. After the HBCU Battle of the Brains, Zyon became a Finance Intern at Dell Technologies. He is now a Financial Analyst at Dell and has returned to our program to encourage our students ahead of our 24-hour competition.
Daikerra was a member of the first place Fisk University team from the 2022 HBCU Battle of the Brains. Her team had the opportunity to attend the 2022 NFL Draft in Las Vegas and meet with League executives and first round picks.
After the event, Daikerra became a Human Resources Rotational Program Intern at Dell Technologies. After graduating, Daikerra became a Human Resources Generalist and a Program Manager.
Annie was a member of the all-female 2018 Johnson C. Smith University team. Her team easily blew all of our coaches away. After the HBCU Battle of the Brains, Annie landed a role as an IT Project Manager at Dell Technologies.
Annie is now a member of the HBCU Battle of the Brains programming team.
Kevin was the captain of our 2018 Alcorn State University team. Due to his stellar performance during the HBCU Battle of the Brains, Kevin became an Associate Product Manager with The Home Depot. During his time as the Lead Product Manager at Nordstrom, he successfully brought Nordstrom to our program as an Innovator Sponsor for our 2022 event.
Kevin is now Head of Evaluations for the HBCU Battle of the Brains.
