John Quinones joined the National Football League as the Head of Talent Acquisition in December 2015. In this role, he is responsible for developing and managing the league-wide talent acquisition strategy in support of the NFL’s human capital needs. He joined the NFL after eight years with Major League Baseball, where he worked as the Vice President of Recruitment. During his tenure at MLB, he oversaw all aspects of talent management, including diversity recruitment and workforce planning, for the Office of the Commissioner. John played a significant role in helping to increase the league’s gender and ethnicity representation across the sport.
With close to 25 years of professional work experience, John has worked in a variety of diverse human resources positions for companies including BusinessWeek, the McGraw-Hill Companies, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the New York Public Library. He is a champion for diversity and believes strongly that sports has the power to play a critical role in societal change.
John holds a Master of Science in Industrial Labor Relations from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Arts from Moravian College in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
